Shineka C. Karim is the founder and chief intercessor of Bara Prayer Movement. She prides herself on being a devoted wife, daughter, sister, friend and mommy-to-be that accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. Shineka is an Atlanta native that graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2008. She attends Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral under the pastorate of Bishop Dale C. Bronner. Though she has always felt the love of God in her heart, her true journey of intimacy with Him began in 2011. Prior to that God had placed it on her heart to start a blog called T.O.W.E.R. (The Overseas Wife & Everything Related) shortly after she married in 2010, but she had no idea what God was going to be doing in and through her.
During this time, God began to reveal that He had more in store for her, but she was still in search of her purpose. He began to open her eyes and heart to the cries of women across the world that were just like her; in search of their purpose. That experience, along with the bumps and bruises she experienced in life, drove her toward working on a dual certification to become a Christian Life Coach and Girls Self Esteem Coach which she achieved in April of 2012.
Her educational background is in English, which has given her the avenue to reach women through her blog and other blogs/websites that she has written for, but she is excited to experience new levels in God through the Bara Prayer Movement and everywhere else God is leading her. Additional writing by her can be found on Virgin Monologuez and Behind the Backboard. God has given her a mission to not only help women see themselves as the jewels that God created them to be, but to also enhance the prayer lives of men and women all over the world. He has given her a desire to educate her brothers and sisters about the power of prayer and to place it back at the forefront of their lives. Each day is dedicated to helping her brothers and sisters of the Kingdom live on purpose and with purpose. It is time to release the sound of prayer all over the world!!! Her goal is to not be defined by titles, but by simply completing what God has called her to do. Be on the look out for books, speaking engagements, retreats/conferences and her life coaching website. God has a time of release and she can't wait to share all that He shares with her.
